The Municipality of Clare is publishing two notice of intentions to pass and amend by-laws.

Notice of Intention to Pass a By-Law Respecting Emergency Management

Pursuant to Section 168 of the Municipal Government Act, the Municipality of the District of Clare HEREBY GIVES NOTICE of its intention to pass a By-Law respecting emergency management during the Regular Council Meeting on February 25, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. The proposed by-law may be reviewed at the municipal office (1185 Highway 1, Little Brook, NS, B0W 1M0) between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or pdfby clicking this link.

The purpose of this By-Law is to establish and maintain a comprehensive Emergency Management Program and to confirm the Municipality of the Town of Digby, the Municipality of the District of Digby, and the Municipality of the District of Clare’s participation in the Digby County Regional Emergency Management Organization (REMO) in accordance with the Emergency Management Act, 1990, c.8, s. 1, 2005, c. 48, s. 1

The purpose of this By-law is to repeal certain by-laws of the Municipality of the District of Clare deemed by Council to be out-dated or other wise no longer necessary.
