Gear Check: Understanding and properly using life jackets, paddles, and other kayaking gear.

Entering and Exiting the Kayak: Safe techniques for getting in and out of your kayak.

2. Safety

Water Safety Rules: Important guidelines to stay safe on the water.

Emergency Procedures: What to do if you capsize or encounter trouble while kayaking.

Buddy System: The importance of paddling with a partner and looking out for each other.

3. Paddle Stroke Techniques

Forward Stroke: The most fundamental stroke for moving the kayak forward efficiently.

Stopping Stroke: How to stop your kayak quickly and effectively.
