MUNICIPALITY OF CLARE WELCOMES NEW CLARE HEALTH CENTRE MANAGER
Little Brook, NS: The Municipality of Clare welcomed Chantal Pottier in her new role as Manager of the Clare Health Centre on May 11, 2020. She replaces Janice Bilodeau, who held the position since 2008.
“We are pleased to have Chantal on board as the Manager of the Clare Health Centre. We believe she has the experience and the know-how to fill the position successfully,” says Stéphane Cyr, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the Municipality of Clare. “We would also like to take this moment to thank Janice Bilodeau for her years of commitment and professionalism at the Clare Health Centre. We wish her the very best in her retirement.”
In her new role, Ms. Pottier will be managing all the daily operations of the Clare Health Centre, including both human resource management and financial oversight. She is responsible for overseeing all activities of the municipal employees employed at the health centre while also supporting and collaborating with physicians on issues relating to their practice. Reporting directly to the CAO, Ms. Pottier will serve on the municipality’s senior management team and will also act as the liaison between the Clare Health Centre and the Office of the Municipality of Clare.
“I am excited to be taking over the role of Manager and following in the footsteps of Janice who has blazed the trail of excellence here at the Centre,” says Ms. Pottier. “I bring with me a passion for patient-centred care, and will constantly strive to ensure that the Centre continues to be a champion in health care in this community.”
Ms. Pottier has more than ten years of progressive leadership experiences in a variety of nursing environments in both urban and rural settings. In her most recent role as a VON Canada Registered Nurse in Digby County, she addressed gaps in patient care by collaborating with local healthcare providers and community supports to coordinate more consistent patient-centred care.
Ms. Pottier holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Dalhousie University.
