Clare Acadian Festival
Message of the President of the Clare Acadian Festival
The 60th Clare Acadian Festival will be held from 9 to 16 of August of this years and It will be a big celebration. With a focus on the local artist, the week of the festival will be something that you don’t want to miss.
Finance side , things are also very good. Thanks to financial contributions from the three levels of government (municipal, provincial and federal) , the Festival is better placed as it has been in several years. Furthermore we split our fundraising efforts which allowed us to finish the fiscal year 2014-2015 on a positive note.
Our marketing efforts will help us to promote the Clare region online, with flyers, but also by participating in tourism expo, as Saltscape and through a promotional trip to the International Festival in Lafayette, Louisiana, in partnership with the Université Sainte-Anne in late April.
The partnership with the Université Sainte-Anne is really important this year, as the institution celebrates its 125th anniversary. To celebrate our anniversary together, we are pleased to announce that the show of August 15 will be on the Church Point Campus of Université Sainte-Annne and will be broadcast by the CBC. The University will also provide the Festival this summer and office that will be located in the Louis. E Deveau building.
