The Municipality of Clare would like to welcome their new CAO,Mr. Stéphane Cyr, who officially started in his new position January 4th, 2016.
We also would like to thank Mrs. Connie Saulnier for her excellent job as CAO for the past 8 and a half years and wish her the best of luck in her new role as Director of Finance for the Municipality of Clare.
New Municipal Truck
The Municipality of Clare purchased its own snow removal equipment in December to remove snow at their different facilities. A 2016 Ford F-250 truck complete with a snow plow and salt and sand spreader will be operated by Public Works employee Jody Comeau who will be responsible for salting and snow removal using the newly acquired equipment. This truck will replace the old Public Work’s truck.
Clare Veterans Center
The renovations at the Clare Veterans Center are going very well. To date, the stage has been renovated, a new projector and screen have been installed, and new front doors have been installed. Two new furnaces will be installed in April 2016.
New intern for a year
Jessica Wilson from Bas-de-la-Rivière will be our intern for a year starting January 4th, 2016. Jessica is a student from Université Sainte-Anne completing her Bachelor in Business Administration Coop.

Did you Know?
The Clare Community Calendar is a free online tool to promote all events and activities in Clare. You will see a wide variety of events, including Community Events, General Entertainment, Recreation, Tourism, Festivals and Cultural Activities. Two new categories have recently been added: Art and Sports. This calendar is a free service to event organizers, and also serves as a planning tool to improve the coordination of events in Clare. Event organizers can add events by filling a form online, or by contacting Tanya German at or 902-769-3655.
Look for Le Transport de Clare’s brand new brochure made possible through funding received from the Nova Scotia Department of Seniors.The Municipality of Clare is a proud partner in the production of this new brochure that details their services, including contact information for their new office location at 795 Highway 1 in Comeauville (same building as CIFA radio).
Tax Sale will be Saturday, March 12th, 2016 at the Municipal Building at 10am.
